As I grew up in South Africa and was bound to help my parents in the supermarkets we had during the weekends, I could not help but feel being imprisoned in that retail environment, which I knew could only generate income from a radius of 5km around the business.
I could not accept that a market could be so limited.
Being haunted by those limitations of retail, and in discovering the internet when it all started.
I knew from then on that eCommerce was the future of business.
After finishing school I went on to study marketing and completed retail marketing as a major to get a close as possible to the relation between the buyer and the seller and all the magic retail has to draw in the consumer, keeping them in there and making them loyal to the brand.
But I knew in the back of my mind the limitations of the retail industry.
I went as far as completing quality management, as I realized the importance of providing quality throughout the entire business process, starting from the making & marketing of product all the way through to the after sales of the product.
I completed my tertiary education with web programming & development, to finally being able to build websites, eshops and managing eCommerce with the knowledge of marketing. My primary objective after all that studding.
Years after that when SEO evolved into websites, when keywords just didn't cut it, and as I tried and tested all methods or ranking for specific keywords and thus evolved blackhat & whitehat SEO methods, and Google presented us with google best seo practices.
As I tried and tested all these methods for Google, Yahoo & MSN (at that time) now as bing.
I established which factors hold ground for a long lasting organic SEO campaign, and as the years had gone by I continued to research, learn, test and implement, which SEO factors lose and grain ground to a good SEO campaign.
As myspace and facebook and many other social networks started gaining lots and lots of traffic and time on site, it was obvious that social media would be a major player in the internet arena, and therefore bought the domain social-media.gr,
where I officially moved my blog from http://

to http://blog.social-media.gr , where I have been sharing all my research and other findings regarding SEO, Social media, twitter, facebook, ecommerce and other related posts.
As have shared all my research and finding on my blog to everyone including competitors who don't share a drop of water in the rain.
SEO & Social media is all about sharing and communicating with one another, I continue to believe that in sharing helps an entire community grow to a better place in the future. We gain more in giving than only in taking.
I have work as a SEO consultant & practitioner for various SEO & web agencies in Athens Greece and on web applications I build.
